Engr. Dr. Stephen Olukayode Ibijola is a distinguished civil engineer with a remarkable career in the Ekiti State Civil Service. He holds a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from the University of Kwazulu Natal, South Africa, and a Master's degree in Transportation Engineering from the Federal University of Technology, Akure. Ibijola has received international training in road safety and transportation planning from renowned institutions, including the Indian Institute of Technology, United Nations African Institute for Economic Development and Planning, and Delft University of Technology.
He is a fellow of several professional bodies, including the Nigerian Society of Engineers, Nigerian Institution of Safety Engineers, and Nigerian Institution of Highway and Transportation Engineers. Ibijola has supervised over 80 road projects and has received numerous awards for his excellence, including the award of excellence from the Nigerian Society of Engineers, Ado Ekiti Branch, and the researcher with most read journal articles in the department of Civil Engineering, University of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa.
Ibijola has also developed a criteria table for determining roundabout Functional Quality of Service (FQS), which is widely used globally. He has presented several public lectures and has published academic papers in accredited international journals.
