Dr. Vimy Henderson is the Principal Engineer and founder of PTech Engineering Solutions Inc., based in Ontario, Canada. With over 16 years of experience in pavement engineering, she specializes in the design, performance evaluation, construction, and forensic analysis of pavement infrastructure for roads, highways, airfields, and industrial facilities across Canada and internationally.
She earned her Ph.D. from the University of Waterloo, where her research focused on evaluating the performance of pervious concrete pavements in Canadian climates. Dr. Henderson also serves as an Adjunct Professor at McMaster University, contributing to research, student supervision, and technical leadership. Her work emphasizes advancing resilient pavement systems in response to evolving environmental and user demands, and she has published and presented extensively in collaboration with industry partners worldwide.
In 2021, Dr. Henderson established PTech Engineering Solutions to foster diversity and inclusion within the engineering profession while delivering innovative, effective technical solutions.
