Cor Kasbergen MSc is a senior researcher/lecturer in the Section of Pavement Engineering,
Faculty of Civil Engineering and Geosciences, at Delft University of Technology in the
Netherlands. His academic portfolio includes instruction in courses such as Advanced
Constitutive Modelling, Micromechanical Modelling of Asphalt Concrete (AC), and
Pavement Construction and Maintenance.
Cor Kasbergen's research focuses on topics within the field of civil engineering, such as
computational structural and pavement engineering. His extensive involvement in
international projects includes participation in EU projects (FP7, CEDR) and various
initiatives across the Middle East.
Nationally, he works closely with Rijkswaterstaat, the
executive agency of the Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management on several
large projects.
Cor Kasbergen's academic journey began with a master’s degree in computer science from
Delft University of Technology, Netherlands. Since then, he got employed at the Faculty of
Civil Engineering of Delft University of Technology and over the years he was involved into
computational structural and pavement engineering, collaborating with renowned national
and international members in the field, leading to several well-cited publications in high
impact international journals.
